Licensing & Trial Policy
This page summarizes how licensing, activation, and refunds work for AutoLISP Wizard tools (including SectionSync LITE, UTIL-LITE, and future PRO/Suite tools) under the shared Hard-1 licensing model. It is a plain-language companion to the formal License Instructions and EULAs included with each product.
Licensing model overview (Hard-1)
All current commercial tools in the AutoLISP Wizard lineup use a Hard-1 licensing model:
- The license is tied to a single workstation and user profile (HKCU registry scope).
- Activation is performed using an email → token workflow.
- Relevant data is stored in the Windows registry under the AutoLISP Wizard key.
The exact registry path and values are implementation details and are managed by the licensing system. You should not need to edit these entries directly under normal use.
Trials & evaluation
Each tool may include a built-in trial that limits usage by run count, calendar days, or both. The specific trial terms (for example, “5 runs / 7 days” or “20 runs / 7 days”) are defined on each product’s page and in the included documentation.
The intent of the trial is to let you evaluate the tool in your own AutoCAD workflow before committing to full activation under the Hard-1 license.
Activation steps (email → token)
In general, activation for AutoLISP Wizard tools follows this pattern:
- Install the tool and use it in trial mode until you are ready to activate.
- Follow the prompt shown when the trial expires, or refer to the included License Instructions.
- Copy the displayed hardware or run identifier as instructed.
- Email the identifier and your purchase details to autolispwizard@gmail.com.
- Receive a license token and step-by-step activation instructions.
- Enter the token using the provided command or dialog to complete activation.
Once activated, the tool will run normally on that workstation, subject to the terms of its specific EULA.
Moving to a new machine
Because this is a Hard-1 model, each activation is tied to a specific machine and user profile. If you need to move a license:
- Contact autolispwizard@gmail.com with your original order information.
- Request a move or re-issue of the license for your new environment.
- Follow the updated activation instructions and token provided.
The exact number of moves and conditions under which moves are allowed are governed by the EULA and current license policy for each tool.
Refunds, revocation, and access
With the Hard-1 model in place, AutoLISP Wizard can revoke or invalidate license tokens associated with refunded or chargebacked purchases. In practical terms, this means:
- If a refund is issued, any associated license token may be marked invalid for future activations.
- You are required by the applicable EULA to uninstall and discontinue use of the software after a refund.
- Attempts to reactivate with a revoked token may fail or be blocked by the licensing backend.
As a general policy, refund requests will only be considered within 15 days of the original Gumroad purchase date. After that time window, the purchase is considered final, except where platform rules or local laws require otherwise.
Any specific refund terms (for example, tool-specific notes about trials or special promotions) are defined on the relevant Gumroad product page and in your purchase documents. Local laws and platform policies may impose additional requirements; those always take precedence.
